Immersive Travel and Meeting Planners

It’s only in the first quarter of the year, and meeting planners are already focusing on what’s to come in 2017. According to Prevue Magazine columnist Jessie Fetterling, immersive travel experiences will be on the forefront for meeting planners looking to stay ahead of the game this year.

So what can meeting planners do to appeal to this trend? Here are a few of our favorite ideas.

These are ideal for companies looking for ways to incorporate both cultural and immersive experiences into meeting programs. For instance, activities like yoga classes and group hikes create team-building, while allowing participants to explore a new destination.

Volunteering at a local shelter or adding a charity component to your event or function are just a few ways that attendees can feel a strong connection to the community that they’re visiting.

Often times packed itineraries can prevent participants from truly getting to experience a destination. Allowing for more free time in the program affords participants the chance to explore on their own and create lasting memories.
